CAUTHE 2013

In February 2013 I attended the Council for Australian Universities Tourism and Hospitality Education Conference (CAUTHE). I had heard of this event for a number of years and was recommended to go by peers in the UK. I presented a discussion paper at this conference as I have been working on my primary research for PhD.

My presentation below is cut off half way unfortunately but it gives you a sense of what I covered. It is not a great example and I do make an error in slide order half way through. I received about 5 questions after the presentation and they all have helped me to consider additional areas. One is of leadership theories linked to awareness of other development.

CAUTHE 2013

In terms of a conference experience this event was fantastic support for my PhD. The majority of delegates were from both industry and academia and so this offered some really great discussions. I think conferences are excellent ways to offer you an occasion to discuss and debate components of your own research.
