It got me thinking, \u201cWhat shall I bring to my viva? Bigos*? Pierogi? Herring and vodka?\u201d \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/go\/em\/fr\/-\/news\/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-24866275\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/go\/em\/fr\/<wbr \/>-\/news\/blogs-news-from-<wbr \/>elsewhere-24866275<\/a><\/p>\n<p>* For the uninitiated, \u201cbigos\u201d is considered to be <i>the <\/i>national dish in Poland. It is essentially a stew, made with sauerkraut, onion, tonnes of meat, sausage and bacon, prunes, dried c\u00e8pes, red wine, etc., cooked over three days or so.
