There was a lot of talk about both this and the TESOL Convention at IATEFL this year, and I got the impression that this one attracts mainly researchers whereas the\u00a0TESOL convention attracts mainly practitioners. Anyhow here is some information and a link to their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aaal.org\/?page=Conference2016\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>\u00a0and the call for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aaal.org\/?page=2016CFP\" target=\"_blank\">proposals<\/a> if you are interested.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><a id=\"anchor_1429794326466\" name=\"CFP\"><\/a>Call for Proposals<\/h4>\n<p>The 2016 conference of the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL) will be held at the Hilton Orlando Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
