CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
CERA-UK Annual Conference 2015
Chinese Education Today:
Practice and Research
25th-26th June 2015, London, UK
(Submission deadlines: 21st April 2015)
The Chinese Educational Research Association-UK contributes to critical research and discussion relating to Chinese Education in its broadest sense. We provide opportunities for post-graduate students and professional academics to become involved and to share their interests. Ours is a rapidly growing field of study and general interest as Chinese educational issues begin to attract world-wide attention. Alongside this the CERA annual conferences have been growing too.
● Conference Theme:
The conference theme this year is ‘Chinese Education Today: Practice and Research’. The conference particularly encourages contributions to explore the links between educational research and educational practice.
Based on the previous two conferences, CERA members have developed the following special interest groups within Chinese educational research:
· Chinese language education
· English language education in China
· Higher education and policy in China
· Comparative education
· Early childhood education in China
· Education technology and media in China
· Migrant children and education policy in China
· Education and (economic, social and cultural) development in China
· Inclusive and special needs education in China
· School curriculum and subject development in China
· Teacher education and development in China
· Chinese students in the UK
These and others will form the sub-themes for our conference. We welcome proposals from CERA members and conference attendees for ideas about new themes to enrich the range of discussion at the conference.
● Events and Opportunities:
The CERA-UK Annual Conference provides a unique space for scholars, researchers, and postgraduate students to share and discuss their ongoing or recent work with peers. The conference offers opportunities to benefit from feedback in a supportive and stimulating environment. At the conference we will provide a platform for you to promote your own research and publications.
The CERA-UK Annual Conference provides opportunities for participants to gain experience through chairing sessions and to learn more about various topics in relevant fields through networking with peers and with more experienced scholars.
The CERA-UK Annual Conference also provides a vibrant and interactive online community for scholars, researchers, and postgraduate students to share their experiences and to exchange their ideas.
You can meet the CERA-UK Committee and other CERA-UK members on Facebook: Cera-uk Annual. We also provide a variety of other workshops and seminars.
