Teaching Fellow in TESOL (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages)
Working as part of the TESOL team, you will contribute to the further development of learning and teaching in specific areas of TESOL. You will be involved in the research, teaching and administration of the School as well as contributing to related activities within the school and the wider faculty. The post is fixed term, to cover maternity leave.
Your specific duties will be to plan, prepare, teach and mark on
EDUC1009 Education in a Multilingual World (an undergraduate module)
EDUC1051 Language, Learners and Society (an undergraduate module)
In addition you will supervise and mark a number of Masters-level Critical Studies (dissertation equivalent). You will also coordinate the Centre for Language Education Research Undergraduate student seminar programme.
Please note: this is not an ESOL or EAP teaching post.
You will have experience in teaching English for speakers of other languages, demonstrating a strong academic background in TESOL. You will have relevant experience of teaching in the TESOL area in a university context, either in the UK or abroad. You will also have good communication and organisational skills, including the ability to manage your time effectively and an ability to prioritise tasks.
