LANTERN Talk: Inquiring into ‘the intercultural’ of pedagogies in Higher Education

We are delighted to announce our next LANTERN lunchtime talk, which will be give by Ana Mocanu from the University of Cambridge, 12:00 – 13:0031st March, 2017, C3.30, Ellen Wilkinson.

In the talk, she will problematize the concept of intercultural pedagogies in relation to discourses of globalization, Higher Education (HE) internationalisation, and also UK policies on internationalising HE teaching and learning. She will further elaborate on theoretical and methodological insights pertaining to these issues, as part of her ongoing doctoral work.

 

Ana Mocanu is a second year PhD researcher in Education at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, UK, researching intercultural approaches to pedagogies in Higher Education context. Her study interests comprise intercultural education and communication, teaching and learning in Higher Education, along with HE internationalisation policies concerning these aspects. She supported the production of The Routledge Handbook of Intercultural Arts Research, is a peer-reviewer for the Cambridge Open-Review Educational Research Journal (CORERJ) and a member of PLACE and EED academic groups of the Faculty.
