Newsletter #10 (January 2021)
A (belated) Happy New Year to everyone – may it end more kindly than it began.
Things to look forward to this year include:
- a steady stream of researchers moving, at slightly different speeds, towards the finish line (e.g. Ivy, Felix, Sue, Helen, and Huran)
- a new series of LANTERN alumni/associate talks (see below)
- further work developing the idea of a resource (and associated training workshops) for “Publishing during and from/after a doctorate” … watch this space
- revised project proposals to be taken through ethical approval (eg Xian and Jing).
Alumni/Associate Talks (as confirmed so far, who knows what will happen in March)
- Fri 15th January, 10.00/10.15 … Magdalena De Stefani
- Fri 22nd January, 10.00/10.15 … Dalal Al Abassi
- Fri 29th January, 10.00/10.15 … Huran Mirillo
- Fri 5th February, 12.00/12.15 … Duygu Candarli
- Fri 12th February, 12.00/12.15 … Fida Sahar
- Fri 19th February, 12.00/12.15 … Natasha Tsantila
- Fri 26th February, 12.00/12.15 … Ivy Taslima
This flow of talks, by an mixture of alumni, current students, and research associates, is very pleasing. LANTERN has indeed woken up after is slumber of 2019.

{CONCEPTUALISING}
One new type of posting this year is the {CONCEPTUALISING} strand, with posts already up regarding:
- intercultural musicking
- interthinking and collaboration
- intercultural personhood (imminent)
I wonder what the February Newsletter #11 will bring ….
