{Online Conference} 2nd Online International Doctoral Research Conference in Education

The “2nd Online International Doctoral Research Conference in Education” will take place on 7th July 2021 by Zoom video conference. This will be a fully online event. The conference is aimed at postgraduate research students around the world who are working in the field of educational research and who wish to present their work to a like-minded audience of doctoral students, early career researchers (those within two years of their PhD defence), and academics. The conference is free to attend and free to present at. The event will be a mixture of participant presentations, student panels and keynote speakers. The 2021 keynote speaker will be:
– Professor Diane Reay, University of Cambridge, UK
– Professor Paul Ashwin, Lancaster University, UK
Abstracts are requested from research students (PhD, EdD, PhD by publication etc) on a subject related to educational research. They may be submitted in any area of educational research, including but not limited to the following indicative themes:
– teacher training
– educational technologies
– teaching and learning
– social justice
– research methods
– global development
– educational management
– philosophy of education
– language and literacy
– learner motivation and psychology

Call for abstracts opens: 1 February 2021
Submission deadline: 10 April 2021 12pm GMT
Decision on acceptance: 17 April 2021
Online Conference: 7 July 2021
Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be submitted in the main body of your email to PGRconferences@ljmu.ac.uk (not by Word attachment) with the following information in addition:
a) Title of abstract (maximum 20 words)
b) Full names of all presenter(s)
c) Contact details of all presenters to include:
i). organisation/institution, city and country, as you would wish it to appear in the programme ii. university/institutional e-mail of the submitter(s)
d) Brief biography of presenting author(s) [50 -100 words each]
Abstracts will be peer reviewed prior to a final decision by the Chair of the Organising Committee. In the online format of the conference, you will be able to:
a) present live in the video conference (20 mins)
b) submit a recorded presentation (20 mins)
c) as a participant, attend sessions in real-time and watch recorded sessions
d) publish a full paper in a special edition arising from the conference (details to follow on completion of your presentation)
