TUBITAK Funding Opportunities

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) is annoucing the following fellowships:

Research Fellowship Program for International Students & Researchers

Target Group: PhD students and young post-doctoral researchers who want to conduct research in Turkey.

APPLICATION PERIOD	DATES
I. Period	: 17 March 2014 – 21 April 2014
II. Period	: 22 September 2014 – 31 October 2014

 

Benefits:

• A monthly stipend of 2.250 Turkish Liras.
• Travel costs and health insurance
• Funding up to 5.000 Turkish Liras for consumable expenses in the proposed research

Duration: Maximum duration for the fellowship is 12 months.

Fellowships for Visiting Scholars and Academic Staff on Sabbatical Leave

Target Group: Scholars and Academic Staff who want to conduct research or teach in Turkey.

Benefits:

• A monthly stipend of up to 3500 US Dollar.
• Travel costs and health insurance

Duration: Maximum duration for the fellowship is 12 months.

Co-Funded Brain Circulation Scheme

Target Group: Experienced researchers who want to conduct research or teach in Turkey.

Benefits:

• A gross salary of 4167 €  (living allowance + travel and mobility allowance) for experienced researcher with less than 10 years of experience
• A gross salary of 4792 € for senior researchers with more than 10 years of experience (the values are subject to income and payroll tax deductions).
• A yearly contribution of 7200 € for the expenses related to the participation of the researchers in research and training activities.

Duration: The duration of fellowship is 20-24 months.
