Academia.edu – new paper
Academia.edu allows you to upload and view scholarly papers for free. You can join through Facebook or a Google+ account and then choose your academic research interests. This enables you to follow people with similar interests to you and to access a lot of free papers. It might be worth signing up for.
Here is the link to a new paper that has just been added.
Professor Farzad Sharifian (Monash University (Australia), School of Language, Culture, and Linguistics) just uploaded a paper on Academia.edu:
Sharifian, F. (2011). Cultural Conceptualisations and Language: Theoretical Framework and Applications. Amsterdam/Philadelphia: John Benjamins.
Thanks,
The Academia.edu Team
Thanks for that, Susan. Like Richard says, it’s a useful resource. They also have an “ask a question” feature which is, sadly, underused.
Some other similar sites you may want to explore include ResearchGate (http://www.researchgate.net/) and Mendeley (http://www.mendeley.com/).
Thanks Susan. for sure, Juup and myself find it reasonably useful. Some PGRs are also active in this environment also.
