Interesting workshop for those doing an ethnographic study, January 2016, University of Leeds
There are a final few places available for the Linguistic Ethnography data workshops (15-16 January, in Leeds, UK). The fee is only £20 for ECRs and free to current PhDs, and the final deadline is 14 December. Please see the call details below.
You are warmly invited to join fellow PhD students and ECRs to explore different perspectives on and approaches to ethnographic data in a series of workshops held in 2016-17.
These meetings bring together researchers from various disciplines using materials collected from ethnographic research projects to discuss different approaches to materials collection and analysis.
The first Linguistic Ethnography in Practice Meeting will be held on 15th and 16th January 2016, hosted by the University of Leeds.
There is a small fee of £20 for ECR attendees (free to current PhD students). A limited number of travel bursaries may be available.
Please see the attachment for full details of the event (or download it from this link if you’re viewing the digest email: http://1drv.ms/1HKkmWY). RSVP for the first event by 14 December to LEIP-meetings@outlook.com (the call for the workshops in Sheffield and Cardiff will go out after the first meeting). We would be grateful if you would include your name and affiliation, brief details of your research, whether you’re willing to contribute data to a workshop and whether you’re an ECR or PhD student.
