So, you could give us the full bibliographic entry for this now with all except page numbers?

Breen, P. B., De Stefani, M., and Kostoulas, A. (2010?). ‘Navigating a pathway to partnership through turbulent seas of adversity.’ in Tripathi, P. and Mukerji, S. (eds.) Cases on Innovations in Educational Marketing. Hershey: IGI Global.

The year of publication is still uncertain, and the book title may change, but I think that this is what it will be like.

Update: we were recently told that the chapter will be published in late 2010 – early 2011. It’s not quite time to pop those champagne bottles open, but I think we could at least start chilling the champagne.

All the more reason to celebrate. To be shortlisted is no shame 🙂

So, could you provide the bibliographic details and any weblink here for us?

I think it would be more appropriate to do so when the editors formally confirm that the publication has been accepted. We’ll just have to wait for a while, then.

That it was. It was also shortlisted for the 12th Annual Student Team Working Awards, although we didn’t actually win.

Thanks for the update. The main point I would make is that regardless of the content of the chapter and its anonymisation of the institution concerned – this is an active and collaborative publishing presence by members of our LTE Doctoral Community and is something to be celebrated. Sure, each of you will have aspirations for more oubklications and for more prestigious ones as well – we all have such aspirations ! – but every step along the way is exactly that, and is worth presenting as such here (or so I would argue).

We have indeed authored a joint chapter which looks into the research training experience of an in-context PGR cohort in a certain ‘redbrick’ university in the UK. It briefly describes the support provision that was available and various academic and social strategies that were developed bottom-up by the cohort members. Since the University in question doesn’t have a DL research training programme formally in place for in-context PGRs, we thought it best to describe it anonymously, which is one reason why we haven’t drawn too much attention to the chapter in a public space such as this.

The chapter has been accepted for publication in an edited volume subject to minor revisions, and we have already sent a revised draft but its acceptance has not been formally confirmed to date.
