Ethnographies of Academic Writing in a Global Context
Paul Smith is involved in this event at the OU next month. Maybe we’ll hear some of his insights in due course …. but here is the programme to keep you going 🙂
STOP PRESS : Virtual discussions
“Ethnographies of Academic writing in a global context: the politics of style” involves a face to face day seminar on July 16th at the Open University which is now full.
However, as part of the seminar there will be a virtual discussion forum for postgrads, moderated by Lynn Coleman and Jackie Tuck who are PhD students at the Open University. They would really like to generate transnational discussions about the themes raised and hope that the virtual forum will facilitate this. The discussion forum is open to postgraduates only (including those attending the day seminar).
The discussion will take place between July 10 and July 23, that is both before and after the day seminar at the Open University.
To all who are interested, please contact L.Coleman@open.ac.uk and J.Tuck@open.ac.uk as soon as possible. Lynn and Jackie will provide more detailed information regarding registration and logistics regarding participation once postgrads have indicated their interest.
